After Israel recently seized Gaza’s key border with Egypt – the Rafah border crossing – complicating truck shipments of food, the U.S. military has finished installing a floating pier for the Gaza Strip to deliver goods for Palestinians facing starvation. Many Palestinians, however, have reacted to the temporary U.S. efforts with cynicism, claiming aid deliveries by sea (and air) aren’t sufficient enough.
