As wildfire evacuees crowded the roads out of Fort McMurray and travelled down the two highways out of town, the scene brought back memories of a scramble to leave the city in 2016, as a ferocious blaze consumed thousands of homes. Now with a wildfire burning nearby once again, the experience bringing renewed calls for change — including more routes to escape. Morgan Black reports.
