Providing an update on Alberta’s intensifying wildfire situation on Wednesday, Minister of Forestry and Parks Todd Loewen re-ensured reporters that the provincial government is in a “better position than we were last year” in regards to firefighter retention and preparedness as Alberta’s wildfire season kicked off with 45 blazes.
