Donning scarlet scarves, around 50 people took part in the 14th annual Red Pashmina Walk on Saturday. The event was put on by the Peterborough chapter of Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan. The organization raises money to help increase access to education for women and girls, which has become more difficult since the Taliban took over Afghanistan again in 2021. A few thousand dollars is raised locally through the walk each year.
