Crowds could be seen celebrating in Rafah, Gaza on Monday evening after Hamas said it had accepted a ceasefire proposal from mediators. However, Israel’s response so far was that all proposals that would release hostages held in Gaza would be considered, but its military operations in Gaza would continue.
