A Laval woman is wondering why she is being asked to pay tens of thousands of dollars for breast cancer medication at a Montreal-area hospital. She turned to private care to remove her breast after a cancer diagnosis and feels she is now being penalized. The 42-year-old is a Quebec resident and normally the hospital covers the cost of the medication for patients. Global’s Phil Carpenter reports.
