B.C. seeks to criminalize illicit drug use outside of designated areas in B.C. hospitals

Premier David Eby announced on Friday, April 26, 2024, the province has asked Health Canada to make the use of illicit drugs outside designated treatment areas in hospitals illegal. He also outlines plans to expand resources for treatment to help people living with addiction rebuild their lives.
