On Thursday, New York’s highest court overturned the 2020 sex crimes conviction of former Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, in the case that helped trigger the #MeToo movement. #MeToo movement founder Tarana Burke said that she was “devastated for the survivors” connected to the case, but insisted that this was “not a blow to the movement” and called for action instead.
