Surveillance videos from Dec. 31 video near 16 Avenue and 12 Street in the Aster neighbourhood, where a suspect driving an SUV was seen arriving at a home and then driving away shortly before smoke begins rising from the house. Prior to the fire, a newer model white four-door Mercedes with heavily tinted windows was also seen circling the area. The incident is part of the Project Gaslight investigation into extortion targeting members of the South Asian community.
