A Hamilton, Ontario man couldn’t drive his car for 50 days and had to pay more than $4,000 in towing, impound, and legal expenses to get it back. The problem? Police acting on information in Ontario’s vehicle registration system believed it wasn’t his. As Sean O’Shea reports, he’d leased or owned it for six years and could prove it.
