A new study from Canada’s independent cinema owners say their industry is in a crisis. Research by the Network of Independent Exhibitors found that most local cinema owners in Canada are taking many hits, with the use of streaming services, lack of funding and major distributors calling the shots and these cinemas could cease to exist without major changes.
