Speaking after NATO’s 75th anniversary summit on Thursday, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that NATO members are focused on building up Ukraine’s defence force so it can deter future attacks and defend itself without the need for as much military support. He said as a result, it “makes a good deal of sense” for Ukraine to join NATO.
