The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced on Tuesday that Russian and Belarusian athletes will not be participating in the parade of athletes at the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics in July. In response, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova criticized the decision on Wednesday, calling it “illegitimate, unjust, and unacceptable.”
