Series of serious crimes committed by Winnipeg youths in care, police say

On Thursday, Winnipeg police chief Danny Smyth commented on a series of serious, “remarkably violent” crimes committed by teens in care ranging between the ages of 13-17. “This is a complicated issue and it will be discussed at an upcoming public safety summit,” Smyth said.
