Sweden became an official part of NATO on Thursday, after depositing its instrument of accession to the organization with the U.S. in Washington, D.C. NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg was joined by Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson for a flag-raising ceremony at NATO headquarters in Brussels on Monday.
