Hundreds of refugees touched down in Calgary Friday on a chartered flight from Afghanistan. After a warm Calgary welcome, many are carrying on to destinations across Canada. But about 40 of them will now call Calgary home — and on this International Women’s Day their arrival can’t come soon enough. Sarah Offin explains.
