Freeland says ‘being there’ to support Ukraine matters amid defence spending scrutiny

Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland defended Canada’s defence spending levels, saying that while “financing matters” it’s more important that Canada has been in Ukraine to train troops and support the country as it continues its efforts to repel Russia’s invasion.
