During a visit to New York on Monday, U.S. President Joe Biden said he hopes to have a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas “by the end of the weekend.” Biden added, “My National Security Advisor tells me that we are close — close but not done yet. My hope is that by next Monday we will have a ceasefire.”
