Mounties have created a new national team to support resource-sharing in separate but similar extortion investigations across Canada. In a press conference on Thurs. Feb. 15, 2024, Supt. Adam McIntosh said the team, operational since January, will co-ordinate the intelligence transfer surrounding the threats of violence and demands for money targeting the South Asian community.
