While speaking with reporters in Quebec on Thursday, Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre said he will work towards meeting NATO’s spending target. “Trudeau has made Canada weak, poor and defenceless. His plan for national defence is to rely on Joe Biden or Donald Trump. My common sense plan will cut wasteful foreign aid that goes to dictators, terrorists and multinational bureaucracies and put that money into reinforcing our military,” he said.
