At a Wednesday update after a shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade, Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas expressed his condolences and prayers to those impacted. “We went out today, like everyone in Kansas City, looking to have a celebration. That celebration was marred by a shooting today,” Lucas said, adding that the White House has reached out to offer federal assistance in the investigation.
