The head of France’s largest farming organization said Monday farmers would block all major highways out of Paris as protests against price pressures, taxes and the European Union’s (EU) nature restoration law intensify. Meanwhile, the protests spread to southern Belgium as farmers blocked one of Europe’s busiest highways and parked tractors a stone throw from the EU Parliament.
