A former patient at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is harnessing her lived experience to change children’s lives. Emily Chan spent six years at the facility, as one of the first medically complex babies admitted in 1997. Chan later walked out of the hospital with a sense of independence, allowing her to now help other children with disabilities realize their full potential – more than three decades later.
