Gabriel Attal becomes France’s youngest, 1st openly gay prime minister

French President Emmanuel Macron appointed 34-year-old Education Minister Gabriel Attal as France’s next prime minister on Tuesday, hoping to give his government a reset ahead of Europe’s parliamentary elections. Attal is the country’s youngest and the first openly gay prime minister.
