At a Monday press conference, Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew said the province intends to provide funding for community efforts commemorating the crash’s victims — including memorials in Dauphin and at the site in Carberry. “My thoughts are with all those who lost family or friends in this horrible crash, especially as they have just spent their first holiday season without their loved ones,” the premier said.
