Global News at 6 Toronto: Dec. 17, 2023
Description
December 17, 2023
In tonight’s top story: Protesters gathered outside of the Ontario Science Centre on the weekend demanding an end to the redevelopment plan for the Toronto institution — a plan, they say, that is not only mired with holes but will result in the attraction’s relocation. And, Marineland continues to face scrutiny after a Beluga whale died at the aquatic-themed park this week. Over the last four years, 15 whales have died at Marineland. Plus, more than 20 mosques across Canada took part in the “Bring-a-friend-to-a-mosque-day” on Sunday, to help educate non-Muslim Canadians and mitigate hate speech amid an uptick of antisemitism.
