Minister of National Defence Bill Blair announced on Wednesday that the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) will remove the term “sexual misconduct” from official policies and will instead use “sexual assault” as a standalone item, after a 2022 report found that the definition of “sexual misconduct” lacked coherence and clarity.
