Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry is urging the public to get immunized with the latest COVID-19 and influenza vaccines, as emergency departments and clinics see an uptick in patients with respiratory symptoms. In an update on Mon. Dec. 11, 2023, she explained the difference between flu strains currently circulating in B.C. and who is at greatest risk of severe illness if infected.
