Canada’s Minister of Finance, Chrystia Freeland, visited a new housing project in Vancouver on Thursday. The project includes 231 new homes that will be available for occupation starting in May. She also noted that some of the new homes would rent for as low as $500 per month, adding, “This is exactly the type of housing we need more of in Vancouver and across Canada. And it is an excellent example of the great things we can achieve when all levels of government work together.”
