‘A dream come true’: Edmonton high school student’s composition to be played by ESO

The artistic vision of an Edmonton high school student is about to come to life on the Winspear Centre stage. As the winner of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra’s 2023 Young Composer Project, Ben Gatly has spent the last six months working on a composition which will be performed by the ESO next week. Global News at Noon Edmonton sat down with the young composer to learn where he gets his passion for music and what inspires his work.
