At the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum in San Francisco on Thursday, U.S. President Joe Biden said that “workers’ rights are strong enforcement of labour standards“ and that the nation is committed to improving labour standards and supporting unions. “Each of the framework pillars includes strong pro-labour outcomes that will benefit workers in all economies. It’s critical to building a stronger, fairer, more resilient economy for families across the Pacific,” he added.
