Residents in Vernon aren’t only losing their last walk-in clinic, they are also losing the BC SPCA animal shelter. The organization making a shocking announcement Wednesday morning that after more than three decades, it is permanently closing the shelter due to structural problems with the building. As Klaudia Van Emmerik reports, there are concerns it will be a huge blow to animal welfare in the community.
