In a Friday update, Edmonton Police Services (EPS) Acting Supt. Colin Derksen identified a 41-year-old father who was killed in a Thursday targeted shooting at a shopping complex as Harpreet Uppal. Dersen described Uppal as “well-known” to the police force and “high up in the gang, drug world,” adding that he was also previously targeted in a 2021 Royal Pizza shooting.
