During question period on Thursday, Government House Leader Karina Gould “unequivocally” condemned attempted “firebombings” from earlier this week and the overnight gunfire at two Montreal schools. In response to a question from Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre about the steps the government is taking to ensure the safety of Jewish Canadians, Gould said “there is no room and there is no place for antisemitism in Canada.”
