Minister of Mental Health and Addictions Ya’ara Saks announced on Thursday that the South Asian Canadians Health and Social Services is joining the ‘988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline’ network to provide support to people in Brampton, Ont. “We want to make sure that no one — no one — in a moment of crisis is left behind. And we did this to ensure that if you need support from 988, you will be connected to someone in your community who will better understand your needs,” Saks said.
