Francis Ngugi, who put a poisonous chemical in a cereal container, killing a Scarborough toddler in March 2021, has been sentenced to life in prison with a parole ineligibility period of 17 years. The victim’s mother, Maurine Mirembe, spoke to reporters outside of court Friday.
