Thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters across major U.S. cities marched on Wednesday, holding signs with slogans such as "Stop Genocide!" and echoing demonstrations that erupted globally amid outrage over the deadly bombing of Gaza's Al-Ahli al-Arabi hospital late on Tuesday. At the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., some 200 demonstrators — many from the group Jewish Voice for Peace — filled the rotunda of the Cannon House Office Building, wearing black t-shirts that said "Jews Say Cease Fire Now" and "Not in Our Name." The U.S. Capitol Police said its officers began arresting protesters who refused to comply with orders to disperse.
