The woman behind a 2020 Vernon motel has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge than what she originally faced, and a sentencing date is expected to be set later this year. 

It's another sign of the deep housing challenges facing the Okanagan, a Vernon, non-profit says it's seeing more families with kids in need of help finding a place to live.
