  Police say there's been a recent increase in high-end vehicle thefts in the city, particularily in Waterdown and Ancaster, with pick-up trucks a primary target for thieves.

• UPDATE: Man charged after theft of truck with 2 kids inside in Red Deer

  Red Deer RCMP charged a 28-year-old man Wednesday in connection with the Nov. 12 theft of a truck that had two young girls sleeping in the back seat. The two children were then left on a street.
