Sport utility vehicles (SUV) topped pickup trucks as the most popular type of vehicle purchased in Alberta last year, according to a report from DesRosiers Automotive Consultants. 

Dealers are saying this change is due to lower price of fuel, less sticker shock, as well as fuel-efficiency in bigger vehicles coming a long way.
