U.S.-born actor Steven Seagal, who became a Russian citizen in 2016, has joined a coalition backing Vladimir Putin.

Seagal praised Putin as "one of the great living world leaders" when he was granted Russian citizenship, and first received notoriety in the 1980s and 90s for roles in pictures such as Under Siege and Flight of Fury.
