Ray Jones was the board president for the Rundle Community Association for eight years before entering municipal politics in 1993 when he was elected as the alderman for Ward 5.

Leader Andrew Weaver says he will not seek re-election in the next scheduled provincial election in 2021.

Chakma's second term ends on June 30, 2019. He has served as the university's 10th president since 2009.
