Starting July 4, a large section of Halifax's Spring Garden Road will only be open to buses, bicycles and pedestrians from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Halifax planners say the aim of the traffic project is to 'improve the corridor for pedestrians and transit,' and 'beautify' the area.
