The Saskatchewan and federal governments announced the addition of 1,202 new licensed not-for-profit childcare spaces in 21 communities on Wednesday.

Saskatchewan is aiming to add 28,000 new regulated child care spaces over the next five years and the government said the 601 spaces announced Monday is the first step.
