Voters in part of western Winnipeg go to the polls Tuesday in a byelection that one political analyst says could serve as an indicator for the provincial election.

Kevin Klein finished third in the mayoral race and expressed his desire to run for the Manitoba Legislature shortly afterward. He was officially nominated by the PCs on Monday.
