An Alberta woman says online retail giant Amazon refused to refund her for a faulty sound system because it said the item sent her was not the one sent back.

Online shopping and ensuing returns produce a lot of waste as some returned items end up in the landfill because of the costs involved with inspecting and re-stocking items.
