The Hospital for Sick Children said the donation by the Peter Gilgan Foundation will go toward the construction of a new patient care tower.

It has been 10 years and $400 million dollars in the making but the wait is finally over as SickKids' Hospital officially opens its highly anticipated research and learning tower on Tuesday.
