Dr. Kieran Moore said the initial decision meant sports like hockey and basketball wouldn't be allowed indoors. He said officials got feedback from health units and sports groups.

"The net-new component would be on the HEPA units and yes our commitment is to have those units within those schools, in those classrooms, within the first day of September."
