Chilliwack RCMP is on scene at a high risk police incident involving shots fired. Residents in the area of Knight Rd near Melville, Queens and Downes are asked to shelter in place.

The Ontario Provincial Police say the accused remains in custody and is scheduled to make a court appearance in Simcoe at a later date.

"There is no panic in Ukraine, because they have been at war for eight years," says a media representative with the Ukrainian Canadian Congress in Saskatchewan.
