White House national security adviser John Bolton said he believed the bulk of North Korea's weapons programs could be dismantled within a year.

U.S. President Donald Trump had said on June 12 after his summit with Kim Jong Un that the North Korean leader was "already destroying" a missile site, in addition to committing to "complete denuclearization" of the Korean Peninsula.

Following the meeting between Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, the U.S. president told reporters that Kim had destroyed a “major missile engine-testing site.”
